Sports

Men’s basketball was the first sport at Harford Junior College.  Although the first few decades were a little rough, the team today is hot, with a streak of winning seasons behind them.

While women’s first sport here at the college was cheerleading, our women’s basketball team has won several major championships.

More recently, our women's lacrosse team won the Division I National Championship for junior colleges -- May 2019.

Long before our basketball teams were hot, though, we had two other champion teams, both of which have since disbanded.  The football team made it to several bowl games and produced players for the Baltimore Colts and the Kansas City Chiefs before the program ended in 1985.

The field hockey team was the college’s first official champion team, winning the National Junior College Athletic Association Championship in 1995; the NJCAA discontinued field hockey two years later.
